About Health Service Commission
The Health Service Commission was established through the Health Service Amendment Act of 2022 to provide for its administration and the conditions of service of its members; to provide for the transfer of persons engaged in public health service delivery from the Public Service to the Health Service and to provide for matters connected with or incidental to the foregoing.
The Commission is headed by the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and Commissioners. The Commission is supported by a Secretariat headed by the Secretary. The Secretariat is made up of the following departments – Human Resources, Conditions of Service, Finance & Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation and Performance Improvement and Development. The secretariat also has the following units – Public Relations, Legal, IT, Corporate Services, Discipline, Audit, Procurement.
